On a recent journey to Mexico, our founder Debi unearthed a remarkable line of artisan products that perfectly aligns with the ethos of Manos Imports.

Ananas, curated by Cristóbal Gurría in Michoacán, Mexico, is a stunning fusion of modern and timeless design rooted in generations of clay molding tradition.

Ananas is inspired by the rich history of the region, which has been a significant center of cray and metalworking since around 900 A.D.

Artisans crafted a variety of items clay, which was used extensively by the Purepecha people, whose ceramic works were known for their complex, polychromatic designs.

This tradition has continued through the centuries.

Manos Imports is proud to partner exclusively with Ananas, bringing these heritage-rich, handcrafted products to North America.

With our deep respect for these traditions and commitment to quality, we are excited to introduce Ananas to a new audience and celebrate the artistry of Michoacán and Cristobal as a visionary artist and curator.

The Ananas comosus fruit, known as "Ananás" in Portuguese, from the Guaranì "naná" meaning "perfume," has been used since the 16th century in both Portuguese and Spanish.

Today the Ananas collection celebrates that history.
